Please walk on the Pavement!

An extra note to all children and parents:

Plewase be careful when crossing the road  and try to walk on the pavement provided when coming to school, to make sure no one gets hurt.

Please make sure that you are aware of vans and cars coming in and out of  school. 

CD STARS

On Friday, the whole school are recorded songs for a christmas CD.

Each class has worked very hard learning a class song, as well as the whole school singing together, with each of the Key Stages singing Silent Night and Ding Dong Merrily on High.

Songsters performed excellently, and you can enjoy the wonderful soloists:

We have enjoyed our Science this week.

 

On Monday we did our last lesson on space.

Mr Edwards got us thinking about why the moon changes shape. We all came up with different ideas but all stared to pick out bits on why then Mr Edwards showed us a video of how the the moon looks different shapes.

As we rotate round the sun the moon rotates round us so we get 8 moon shapes because the suns light shines on the moon making it loominate so you only see half of the moon that’s why we have a new moon, waxing crescent, waxing gibbous, half moon, waning gibbous, last half moon, waning cresent.



Then we started a new topic about micro-organisms which was really fasernating and disturbing to look at. We briefly looked at viruses, fungi and Bactria. On Wednesday we started a experiment where we took 2 pieces of brown and white bread to investigate which grew mould quicker.

Also, Lydia and George put their hand prints on a piece of brown bread, so we check how much bacteria are on our hands. We will check each throughout the weeks and watch the progress.

Learning about micro organisms and how they are everywhere.

What has been the highlight of your week?

Maths because we were learning to convert measurements.

what did you find hard in lessons this week?

I didn’t anything hard this week - I was resilient!!

What has been your best work this week?

My best work has been on the reading test because I got my highest score.
