In art we have been creating perspective Christmas cards. We have a front which has large picture and the middle with medium picture and the back with tiny pictures. Then we pieced them together using PVA glue. Finally we wrote a message on the back so it was ready to send!

Art in Willow Class
In art we have been creating perspective Christmas cards. We have a front which has large picture and the middle with medium picture and the back with tiny pictures. Then we pieced them together using PVA glue. Finally we wrote a message on the back so it was ready to send!
Design and Technology in Willow Class
In D and T we have been designing some bread with added ingredients. We are doing this to explore how yeast works.
Writers of the week
This week we have 2 writers of the week and they are…
I.C.T.
At the moment in I.C.T. we have been piecing together our films on Microsoft windows movie maker. Soon in music we shall compose some music for our films on the keyboards.
Music in UK2
In Upper KS2 we’ve been creating music for the James Bond Skyfall trailer. To do this we have used different voices on the keyboards in the treetops mobile classroom. Some groups have even used sound effects to enhance their music.
Literacy in Willow class
In Literacy this week we have been writing a recount on a specific day in the pearl diver story. We have to write this recount from Saeede’s point of view (Saeede is a boy on the ship) which means we have to write the story in 1st person.
Songsters christmas concert
On Thursday the 13th of December at 18:00 the Songster’s Christmas concert took place. They selected a number of songs from the 2 concert they’re going to in January as well as some Christmas songs they performed on this date.
Science
In Science we have been investigating how mould develops on white bread and brown bread by leaving one of each on a surface in a plastic wallet. We also put 1 piece of brown bread and 1 piece of white bread in a warm and dark cupboard in a plastic wallet.
P.E.
In P.E. we have been focusing on arts of dance. Most recently we tried is a the gumboot dance which combines the use of wellington boots, clapping and the chest.

What is your favourite topic we've done this week?
Literacy writing about he pearl diver from Saeede’s (a boy) point of view because: I found it more fun than the other pieces of writing we’ve done this term.
What is your favourite subject and why?
P.E. because: it’s fun to get out of the classroom and play some sport also I feel I express myself during the lessons.
Who do you want to be star of the week and why?
Mr. Edwards because he’s epic!

Maths
This week in Maths (Mr Edwards class) we learnt about measurements.
We also learnt about capacity and mass. We learnt that if you want to convert milimetres into centimetres then you divide by 10.
Literacy
This week we looked at a book called The peal diver.We did a story mountain, from the main
Characters point of view, thinking about the structure of the story.
Next week we will be writing the shark attack from Saeed's Point of view.

What do you like learning this year?
“I like learning about literacy because it puts my mind to it. It takes me a long time to plan. It also makes me do my literacy target.”

“I use my literacy target because there are times when you need to use paragraphs as well as the excellent teaching of Mr Edwards.”

“It helps me because the way he teaches is helpful to my writing as well as helping me with the paragraphs.”
